Price data

Add your own free key so your prices keep updating even when the shared key is busy. It's yours alone, so no one else uses up its limit. Each provider hands out a free key in about a minute, no card. Twelve Data and Alpha Vantage cover stocks and funds; CoinMarketCap is the backup for crypto.

Security

Add passphrase encryption so only you can read your amounts. Balances and transaction amounts become ciphertext that only your passphrase unlocks. Not even the service operator can read them.

Backups and saved credentials are already encrypted at rest with a key the service manages; this adds a second layer that only you hold.

Important: there is no recovery: if you lose the passphrase, the encrypted amounts cannot be read. Automated jobs (prices, recurring buys, snapshots) run when you're unlocked, and the key is dropped after 1 hour of inactivity.

Passphrase encryption is on. Your amounts are ciphertext that only your passphrase unlocks. Not even the service operator can read them. (Backups and saved credentials are encrypted separately with a service-managed key.)

Locking forgets your passphrase for this session: you'll re-enter it to view or change amounts, and background jobs (prices, snapshots) pause until you unlock.

Turn off passphrase encryption

Decrypts your amounts so the service can read them again. Backups and saved credentials stay encrypted with the service-managed key either way. Requires your passphrase.
